Prevention and Early Intervention Services:
Although most adolescents who use drugs do not progress to become abusers or addicts in adulthood, drug use in adolescence is a very risky proposition. Even small degrees of substance abuse (for example, alcohol, marijuana, and inhalants) can have negative consequences. The earlier one seeks help for their teen's behavioral or drug problems, the better. Our qualified Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselors can evaluate and assess a teen's substance abuse problem, and provide appropriate treatment or referral.
We assess whether early alcohol and drug use can be addressed through education or if a person is in need of treatment. Our educational services are individualized and designed to come between an early substance abuser and his or her actions in order to modify their behavior. It includes a wide spectrum of activities ranging from user education to referral to treatment.
Homework assignments and family participation are critical elements of our services.
